Finding your way around the new Paystack Dashboard
The new Dashboard has a simpler navigation structure than the old one. This article walks you through what's changed, where things live now, and what to expect.
The new structure at a glance
The left navigation is organised into two sections: Payments and Products — plus a few items at the bottom of the sidebar that sit outside either section.
Payments contains everything related to your core payment activity:
Transactions
Customers
Refunds
Disputes
Settlements
Products contains Paystack's additional product modules available to your account:
Banking
Passport
At the bottom of the sidebar, outside both sections, you'll find Audit logs and Developers.
At the very top of the sidebar is Command Center — your Dashboard home and the entry point to the AI.
What changed and why
The old Dashboard accumulated navigation items over ten years. The result was a structure that reflected how Paystack had grown, rather than how merchants actually think when they come to the Dashboard.
For the new Dashboard, we interviewed merchants and ran structured research exercises to understand how they look for things. The two-section structure — Payments and Products — is the result of that work. It's designed to match the mental model most merchants already have: the things you do every day on one side, and the additional products you've enabled on the other.
What's moved and what's coming
For everything in the core payments experience — Transactions, Customers, Refunds, Disputes, Settlements — it's all here, under Payments. Audit logs, Settings, and a new Developers page that houses your API keys and developer tools are also in the sidebar.
Some features from the old Dashboard — including Commerce, Splits, and Transfers — are not yet in the new experience. This was a deliberate decision: we wanted to get the core right before expanding scope. We're adding them over the course of the year. In the meantime, if you need to access any of these, [link to old dashboard or relevant guidance].
What's not in the Dashboard yet
This version of the Dashboard covers Paystack's core payments modules. Some features from the old Dashboard — including Commerce, Splits, and Transfers — are not yet available in the new experience. We're adding them over the course of the year. In the meantime, if you need to access any of these, [link to old dashboard or relevant guidance].
