If you use Paystack Commerce tools such as Invoices, Payment Pages, or Storefronts, Google Pay will automatically become available at checkout once you enable the channel. No additional configuration is required.

💡 Important to note

The Google Pay option will only appear to customers whose device, browser, card, and Google Pay setup support the payment method.

Can international customers pay with Google Pay?

Yes. Google Pay is not restricted to customers in Nigeria. International customers can use the channel to pay Nigeria-based Paystack businesses if:

  • The business is eligible to accept international payments.

  • The customer's card is supported.

  • The customer's device, browser, and Google Pay setup support the payment.

To accept payments from international customers, your business must be enabled for international payments. Nigeria-based businesses can accept international payments in NGN and USD, subject to eligibility. Learn more about enabling international payments for your business.

Supported cards

Google Pay payments on Paystack currently support Visa and Mastercard cards.

The customer's card must also be eligible for Google Pay and saved to their Google Wallet or Google Account.
