Pay with Carbon

Customers of Nigeria-based businesses have the option of making their payments with their Carbon app. Carbon is a Microfinance Bank licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for sending, receiving and managing money.

Important to note

Kindly ensure that your Carbon wallet is sufficiently funded to fulfil a transaction before attempting the payment.

To make a payment via the Pay with Carbon channel, all you need to do is follow these steps:

1. Choose ‘Carbon’ under the Pay with Bank option on the Paystack Checkout. Enter your Carbon Account Number (you can confirm this on the home page of your Carbon app) and click ‘Authorise’ as shown above.

2. You’ll immediately receive a push notification from your Carbon app, prompting you to confirm the payment. Open your Carbon app.

3. You will see a notification informing you that Paystack is requesting a payment and the requested amount as shown below. Click ‘Authorise’ to confirm and enter your Carbon PIN to complete the payment.

Once you complete the payment, you can find the transaction in your Carbon transaction history, and you will be able to view and print a receipt showing the transaction details.

If you encounter any issues with a completed payment, kindly share the receipt for the transaction from your Carbon app or the transaction ID with us via email at support@paystack.com or our contact form. The transaction ID is in this format "T[15-digit number][letters]", e.g., T123456789012345Anbc.

Can customers make recurring payments with the Pay with Carbon channel?

It's currently not possible for customers to make recurring payments with the Pay with Carbon payment channel.
