There are four categories of payment issues on Paystack.
- Customer Errors - This category is made up of transactions that failed as a result of customer errors such as insufficient funds, incomplete authorization, etc.
- Bank Errors - This category contains transactions that failed as a result of one issue or the other with the customers' bank. This includes the bank having a downtime, declining a transaction for reasons unknown to us etc
- Fraud Blocks - These are transactions that were blocked because they failed to pass Paystack's risk checks. Our system studies fraud patterns, flags suspicious transactions and denies them in order to mitigate fraud and liabilities for you.
- System Errors - These are other processing errors ranging from processor downtimes to other processing issues.
