The Team tab on your dashboard settings page allows you to add multiple users to access your Paystack dashboard, with varying access levels. We give you 5 default roles to assign to team members namely:
- Admin

- Developer Support

We'll break down what each of these roles can do, so you understand how best to assign roles to your team members. You can also visit the roles section of the team members tab on your dashboard to get a more detailed breakdown.

The Business Owner also falls under this category. When the business is set up on Paystack for the first time, the user who created the business is automatically assigned the role of the Admin.

Direct Debit Admin
This role grants users the permissions to manage everything related to direct debit only. This team member only has access to API Keys & Webhooks.
What is the Business Owner role?
This role is given to the person that creates the business by default. It functions as an Admin role as well and has no restrictions. While multiple users can be listed as the Admin, there can only be one user designated as a Business Owner at a time. The Business Owner role can be transferred at anytime from one person to another. Changing the Business Owner to another administrator will confer all previous access rights to the new Business Owner. Also, the business owner is the only role that can close the business.
What about custom Roles?
This allows you to create your own custom roles, and choose exactly what team members can see and do. Want to add a new team member with custom roles to your business? Here is a guide to doing this: How do I add a user to my Paystack business?
